Introduce Yourself!

I’m Patty, a science fiction writer who lives in central Oklahoma. I’m creating a transmedia project around my far future steampunk neo-noir novel series, the Red Dog Conspiracy.

=) you’re too kind

Hey folks! I’m Erika Moen and I’m half of the creative team that creates the comic Oh Joy Sex Toy! I’ve been on Patreon pretty much since it launched and oh my gosh it has made a world of difference in allowing my husband and me the ability to work full time on our project. This is my Patreon page!

I see Lucy Bellwood has introduced herself above! We’re both studiomates at Helioscope (which was formerly called Periscope Studio until early this year) here in sunny Portland, Oregon.

I’ve been putting comics on the internet for eighteen years and I’ve been doing comics full time for about… seven or eight? And Oh Joy Sex Toy for three years. Haha, I’ve probably done over a thousand pages of comics at this point???

Loving the cat emoji, where did you find that one:)

Hi everyone, I’m Lauren! I’m an actor and writer currently working on a science fiction podcast that I created last year called “The Bright Sessions”. It’s an audio drama about people with supernatural abilities in therapy and we just launched our third season this past Wednesday!

We started funding the podcast through Patreon this past March and it has been such a huge asset. I had so much fun meeting some of you at PatreCon last weekend and I can’t wait to talk to you all here and learn so much more from you!

heheh  There’s a pretty good selection of emojis if you navigate to the toolbar on top of the text field.

Hope you had a great weekend, Sarah!

Howdy!
I’m Shannon. I actually run two Patreon accounts for podcasts. One is called Threat Wire, at patreon.com/threatwire. It’s a short format video podcast about security and privacy news. The other is called TekThing at patreon.com/tekthing. That one is a longer format video podcast about consumer tech where we review new gadgets and answer viewer questions.

I’m super excited to be a part of this community! I’ve been podcasting full time for 8 years but this is my first time delving into community backed projects. In the past all I’ve done is sponsored work, which is dandy, but it’s cool to have a crowd fund you instead of a company. I hope to find some awesome collab possibilities and maybe meet some of y’all in real life!

Hello everyone. My name is Haris.

Very excited to be a part of this community although I am brand new to the whole Patreon universe too.

Currently I am busy working solo on two projects, one that is game development related and the other is about digital painting.

My Patreon page just started and there I will offer some behind the scene resources from my digital painting project (PSDs, breakdowns etc).

Very happy to see Patreon moving into right direction. I am sure this community will be fruitful for everyone.

Hi! I’m Inverse Phase. I’m a game composer and freelance musician that can’t read music, sing, or even play an instrument. I decided in 2011 that I’d go full-time with my music. It’s been a scary ride. I have a single Patreon to support my continuing work which includes songs, albums, and music videos.

I’m obsessed with computers and consoles from my childhood. The history, games, capabilities, and most importantly, the sounds and music you get from them. Up to a point, songs made on old machines are called chiptunes (though many call it 8-bit music). I’m sure you’ve heard something beepy-bleepy in a pop song that resembles it. Everything you hear from me is written on those old systems.

My claims to 15-minutes of Internet fame include an “8-bit Cee Lo” lyric video, a Nine Inch Nails-recognised tribute to Pretty Hate Machine, and hey, let’s throw my new track “Sega Things” in the mix, a Stranger Things “cover” where I wrote original melody lines.

A little about me: I love comfort food… pizza, burgers, BBQ, mac&cheese… I don’t mind the music-budget ramen diet either, so long as I can get a variety of flavors. Related, I also love weird/new flavors of drinks and sodas, and trying new international stuff. I enjoy sci-fi, spy-fi, comedy and action TV&movies, often on old deprecated formats like laserdisc. I’ve done programming and IT so I can also be found messing around with “new” computers.

I have issues with brevity, so back on topic! I’ve been writing music for 30+ years. I joined Patreon just over three years ago. I’m super thankful for my patrons. Patreon is helping with the bills which I very much appreciate, but to be honest I’m still waiting for this “life changing” experience everyone is talking about. I hoped to connect with folks at PatreCon but my travel plans blew up in my face, so hopefully this community will help me meet more Patreon creators and staff. My goals involve growing and helping to improve Patreon through feedback.

TL;DR: I’m a huge nerd, I write music on game systems and computers from before 1990, let’s eat pizza and watch sci-fi, will you be my friend?
