Introduce Yourself!

Welcome, Haris!

Do you have plans to start a Patreon page for game development as well?

Excited to have you here, Scott!

ahoy!
it’s me, Lee, your Patreon pal…
leetters, from StudioNo5.

i am so happy to be a part of this community.

i live in Ohio on the edge of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

my favorite tree is oak, but i love the smell of sassafrass in the fireplace.

i love to make art & music.

i have make tons of playlists on youtube, it’s like my own radio station.
i always wanted my own radio station…teehee

i was lucky enough to catch Jack Conte early on chatting about the old ways of patron supported art & it was so exciting that after tons of conversations & finding the right partners, he was able to find a way to make our dreams come true. (i tend to say that a lot, but only because it’s the truth.)

i’m so “shy” it took me months to get my gumption up to launch my own Patreon page, in Feb 2012, i think.

then, i was lucky enough to be a part of the beta Patreon app, but this community seems like it’s going to be so much fun.

it’s the Town of Patreon.
i look forward to wander each street & see the places you have built.
our Patreon creator pages make up the little shops, cafes, parks, schools & businesses we all get to explore.

i am just like most artists, i work in spurts, posting daily, then not at all.

this is when i will go ahead & mention…i am NOT just SHY…

i have Selective Mutism & High-Functioning Autism.

there are so many wonderful folks around the world,
i am so thankful they share their stories & creations.
i am in awe of those people that volg & share their life so freely.
i think it would be great to be able to do that, too.

i like what Jack said yesterday during hang time…
we gotta find our “sketchbook” just like Chris Ryniak did.
wait, i’m an artists, too…teehee
oh, there it is, whew!..
i found my sketchbook.

hUgs all around, Lee

Hello everyone! ^^
I’m Caroline, online mostly known as Nymla, and I make masks, creatures and random crafts I for some reason just feel I have to make. Have always been sort of a jack of all trades, changing direction constantly, now trying to be more consistent with my creations.
I live in northern Sweden. Inspired by folklore and history and strange things.
Found this place via the last hangtime! I just love Patreon!
Oh and here is my Patreon page.

This community looks great!

I’m Amos J. Hunt, poet and editor for a literary magazine (Grub Street Grackle). I manage a separate Patreon account for each of these. The Grackle’s account just launched last week and I’m pretty happy with how it’s going. My personal account is doing okay, considering that I don’t have a huge following off the site.

Thanks for creating and managing this, and I look forward to meeting everyone!

Hii people! Im Esma, a 19 year old design student. Even though I don’t have any pledgez for my work, I’ve been following patreon for a long time. I’m very excited to see how this new community will work. I was wondering before why isnt there one.

Hi,
I’m Luka and I make computer music and other digital media (videos, sound installations, some stage work). I started my Patreon page in January 2016 and so far the progress was slow.

Lately I really longed for a community where I could discuss hurdles and struggles and (eventual) successes with being an online artist/creator. My dream is to have a modest but stable community of listeners who would support me also financialy via a platform like Patreon.

I’m finding Patreon and the idea of patronage perfect, since I’m quite passionate about free access and free/libre software… a true ethical sharing philosophy and support by patrons, simply because it’s how we can create the world and not because we want to own something in exchange. In other words: “pay it forward”.

So I’m really really excited to be here and looking forward to discuss, exchange, debate, share, etc, about how to be a Patreon & online creator. Thanks for invite!

my Patreon , Bandcamp, YouTube, homepage, twitter, facebook page & profile, instagram

Well, this is just great. So inspiring to see all these amazing creators in one place! GO CREATORS GO!

My name is Venetia! I’m a musician creating a rave musical coming out early next year. I left tech a couple years ago to do music and it’s been QUITE the journey. Hasn’t been SUPER simple or easy to figure out but ultimately I wouldn’t change a thing. I have found the switch quite isolating at times (since all my friends were like, “I’m confused you’re not in tech anymore?” BUT! Now I’m finding my fellow artist pals and it feels GOOD.

Excited for what is to come for us all.
V

ps: here’s my patreon page! https://www.patreon.com/venetia

I'm Eugene, 24years old, from Italy but not Italian, tribal artist(abstract and portraits) and YouTuber here on Patreon. Drawing tribals is the most natural thing that I found I can draw, so here I'm on Patreon offering portraits in my style to whoever want one. Being a gamer, I do both, play videogames and watch others play them, so here I come out with a YouTube channel for sharing my gameplays, speaking of them, they are focused on a mostrly slow-paced adventures and exploration and observation of virtual worlds; no facecam nor commentary of any kind, just the sounds of the fictional virtual world. Other then this two things, I do raw web development(and all the other things) with this setup:

Good enough to deal with video/image editing and gaming, so I can't complain( a better GPU would be great, though). I come out with this activities without having any audience, so it's really like gaining attention/audience/fans from scratch, kind of hard, but day after day, the peace permit me to do drawings, post them everywhere and see little attentions/interest from other people coming. This night I think I'll begin reading this community posts and interact if I'm willing to. ---------- In this last 2 days I build a blog from scratch on a subdomain of my website, a record time for me. Maybe it's a bit raw right now, but I like it anyway and I think I'll share it with all of you, an exclusive preview before I push it on my sharing net: [art.thepra-dev.com](http://art.thepra-dev.com/) There you will find all my links, Patreon too.

Have a nice day and sorry for the long reply.

Hey everyone, I’m Cap head of The Nerdy Show Network. We started making podcasts in 2009 from our titular geek talk show, Nerdy Show, evolved into a network of other talk programming, audio dramas, and our streaming music service, Nerdy.FM. We’ve been fan-funded since the beginning and were previously cobbling together monthly pledge drives to make ends meet. Patreon has been a godsend in a great many ways and has drastically stream-lined our process and allowed us a sense of stability and security.
