Great event!
The pic issue may have something to do with not being logged into Google? It might be worthwhile for you to dig around a bit in your privacy settings for that picture — or, if possible, upload it directly to your thank you page — just to get a good first impression for your new patrons.
Already fixed!! thank you for catching.
Hi! I think I’m doing this right!
I’m Mixi, I am the vocalist for a rock band called Stitched Up Heart. I also have a clothing filthyanimalclothingcompany.com where 10% of proceeds go to kittenrescue.org line and I paint!
Hello everyone! My name is Aaron but most know me as Expressions Untold. I’m a photographer, writer, and videographer that focuses on body positivity and uplifting positive sexuality. (Here’s my page www.patreon.com/expressionsuntold) Quick question… sometimes I will get emails about people that have pledged but I won’t see them in my notifications. I also wont see any change in the per-month amount. There have been times when I’ve gotten 3 or 4 new pledges and haven’t seen any change. Has anyone else experienced this before or know why it happens?
Hello!
My name is Taylor and I host a weekly Podcast for artists and entertainers called About to Break.
Each week i talk with actors, musicians, comedians and more about trying to break into the industry before it breaks you.
So excited to be part of the patreon community! Looking forward to learning together.
Welcome, Taylor!
Ooo this sounds interesting! I’ll have to check out your content
Hi! We’re RKVC! We’re a band, we’re songwriters and we suck at pretty much everything else!
We make music and YouTube videos, our sub-genre is “Self-Deprecating Romantic Pop Rock” and we were recently pranked by Jimmy Kimmel on the Oscars!
Check that out here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmp0Bm8eq2Y&index=2&list=PLSFj_9cN-pzXqlcSPSD31yy79vwn2x9ZZ

Hi everyone! I’m Kate. I have a `blog where I post daily link roundups along with reviews and commentary, along with a tinyletter about the books I’m reading. I also do some freelance writing and am working on a novel. My Patreon is pretty small so far, so I’m excited to get some inspiration for growing it and making it more worthwhile for me AND my patrons!
Hi, I’m the writer and art director of RomeoXJulien, a webcomic. My artist and I try to keep our Patreon interesting, but it’s very hard.
Hi, I’m Gareth. I’m a novelist trying to create a dependable income between book contracts. All advice on attracting more supporters is appreciated.
Hey! My name is Em, aka Pussycat Scribbles.
I am a self-taught digital artist and have been posting my stuff online for about 12 years now. In the last few months (after a couple of years of nearly dying working around a full time non-art-related job) I’ve finally transitioned into part time freelance work! The ultimate goal is to be full time freelance with the help of Patreon support, but baby steps, right?
You can find me in the following places:
It’s been a while since I’ve been part of a forum like this, but I look forward to participating more and getting to know everyone!
Hi all, I’m Austin. I’m a video/audio editor, Let’s Player, podcaster, writer, occasional musician, very occasional artist. Kind of a jack-of-all-trades creative.
My primary project is my Let’s Play channel, TheStrawhatNO! (don’t ask, there’s no good story there). We’ve been active since 2011, and I make an effort to be informative, high-quality, and organically funny with it in contrast to a lot of YouTube LPers out there. Usually. My patrons recently funded an LP of Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, and yeah, not happening there.
We’re not focused on any one genre, system, etc, but we are currently playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Stardew Valley, Slime Rancher, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, Sonic 06, and some portable Zelda games exclusive to my patrons. There’s also a lot of Zelda and Bomberman in our backlog.
My podcast is The Echo Creek Journal, ostensibly about whatever media I want to talk about including tv, film, music, etc, but so far I’ve just talked about Star vs the Forces of Evil.
My older music is on my BandCamp, and it’s a mishmash of 70s-80s punk and post-punk influenced stuff that I’ve yet to learn how to mix well. I’ll figure drums out one of these days.
I also write a Legend of Zelda fancomic called Book of the Traitor, with the super talented Lore Cox as artist. It’s built as a modern-type future following on from Twilight Princess and contains boys kissing. Currently in the middle of Chapter 2.
Hi all - my name is Myrrh Larsen; I’m a musician, multimedia & live show producer, and I use Patreon because I take a unique approach to building my shows and recordings.
My band works with artists of other disciplines to create what we call “saga” shows: pairing a live rock set with visual performances that give audiences a powerful immersive experience that tells a single narrative story. Our shows have been compared to a live action music video or concept album.
We currently have two touring shows:
I’m on Patreon because I wanted to develop a business model that would allow me to explore the power of live storytelling and live music performance and develop recordings based on those stories - rather than the (more traditional) other way around. I’m pretty new to the platform and excited to explore more ways to deepen and enhance our relationship with our audience!
Hey everyone!
My name is Chelsea Marie Davis, and I’m a songwriter/storyteller/musical theatre composer and lyricist. I am currently being commissioned by Liquid Theatre Collective to co-create an original musical based on the life of Marian Anderson–an American black singer who became one of the world’s leading interpreters of German classical music during the 1930’s, as the Third Reich was gaining power. I love the opportunity to use my gifts to tell compelling human stories.
I write songs in many styles for different projects-- jazz/pop under Chelsea Marie Davis, a colorful indie pop band called Roseport, and a dark, trailer-esque female empowerment band named JØAN. My artistic business model, at the moment is dichotomized: intimate house concerts and patron content, and I also pitch my music for film/TV. This year I’ve landed placements for CBS, Warner Brothers and Apple.
I am a teaching artist by day, and I teach 5-12 year old children how to write songs & create original musicals, through the All the Arts for All the Kids Foundation & The Johnny Mercer Foundation.
I AM SO EXCITED TO BE A PART OF THIS COMMUNITY!
I have had a lot of problems with would-be patrons trying to sign up and hitting confusion and technical errors. I want to find out what tech issues other Creators are struggling with, and how we might brainstorm to solve them together. I’m looking forward to hearing your growth strategies. I’m right at that place where Patreon is giving me enough income to buy about one day/week of my time. I committed to my patrons to release a new song every month. I’m keeping that commitment, but right now, I’m not quite making enough income from Patreon to cover the energy output required to keep up, because I still have to teach almost full time. Looking forward to learning from all of you!
Warmly,
Chelsea Marie Davis

Hello!
I’m a relatively new (about three months) creator and I’ve been following the discussions for a few weeks, but only now have had a chance to introduce myself.
I write male/male (same sex) mystery and romance under the name Josh Lanyon (I’m female). My patreon page is located right here.
As far as what I’m hoping to gain from the community…I’m still finding my way around, so probably don’t have much to contribute at this time, but I’m learning quite a bit as I follow the various conversations.
Thank you for the invite to the creator community.
Best,
Josh
