Hey Mark, I love the topic that you’re covering. I often wonder how/why people become homeless but in the business of pursuing my own purpose, I’ve still not edged towards knowing.
I’ve followed you so I can see where it takes you.

It was such a surprise to wake up to the invite to the community this morning! I didn’t know it existed and I’ve been flying solo for a few weeks thinking I’m doing ok, so I’m really excited to be here and connect with other creators! Thank you @ellie much appreciated!
A little about me, I’m a songwriter and video creator, and I chat a lot about self-improvement which has been a central theme in my song lyrics since I started, oh and lattes of course! I drink far too much coffee!
Would love to chat with like minded people. My aim is to learn, collaborate, improve and grow on the Patreon platform.
This is my Patreon Page so come and follow me if you like pop music, or want to connect https://www.patreon.com/prodbear
Hey ScienceMom, love the name! I remember my first video on Instagram - It was AWKWARD!!! I’ve improved a LOT since then hahah, but I know exactly what you mean, I’m not always comfortable now.
Hey everyone!
We just got the invitation to join the Patreon Community and we are happy to be a part of the team.
We are New Game Plus, a retro gaming podcast where we play a new old game each and every week and then talk about our experiences with said game, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Super Mario World, Quake, Final Fantasy VII, and Mega Man X are just a few of the games we’ve played so far.
Here is a direct link to our episodes for instant listening:
And here is a link to our Patreon if you’d like to see how we’ve set things up:
Would love to connect with a few other podcast producers to learn what’s working for you and to share what’s working for us!
Hi, I’m Jackson Crawford. I’m an instructor of Old Norse, Norse mythology, Vikings, etc. at the University of Colorado Boulder (previously at UC Berkeley, and UCLA before that). I have a Ph.D. in Scandinavian Languages from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Like a lot of academics I’ve been in “adjunct hell” for a long time, moving from short-term teaching job at one university to short-term teaching job at another. Last year (while I was still teaching at Berkeley) I joined Patreon as a way to try to earn from the good will of people who were already enjoying my series of videos about Norse language and myth on Youtube. It’s gone pretty well, and I recently surpassed the $1000/month mark, which makes Patreon officially more than a third of my income.
I joined this community to learn more about how I can use Patreon both to earn more and to reward my generous supporters better. If I have ideas that can help others do the same, so much the better.
Hiya, Jenny.
Thanks for saying hello, and for the kind words. Much appreciated.
You’ve got a great campaign as well. I love the periodic table of patrons. Very cute.
Regarding your oscillation between terrified and elated, I totally get it. After 21 years of steady, reliable paychecks, deciding to leave that comfort was not an easy thing to do. But as soon as I did, I felt better, lighter, whatever other cliche sayings apply. Having faith in yourself, in my opinion, if far more rewarding than relying on an employer. You know how to value yourself. And as a parent, I think it’s especially important to find that faith. I feel like it’s a good way to lead a small human into the world…
Patience isn’t always easy, though. Not when others are depending on you. My kids are older now, so I feel a little more comfortable in that regard.
I wish you best of luck. If my Patreon takes off and becomes successful for me, I look forward to sharing some of the wealth with my community here. Honestly, that’s something that really excites me about this platform. I’ve contributed to multiple projects through kickstarter - and have launched my own projects there - and regularly do micro lending through the website Kiva… In short, I like to give back. It makes me feel good.
Please say hello anytime.
Love,Damien

Hi, Jackson Doc Crawford,
I never heard about your YT channel, will browse it for the rest of the evening - I have always been deeply fascinated by Norse mythology, especially attempts on trying to unwrangle the “classic” (lost oral traditionals) from the Christian “colored” or interpreted versions. So much to discuss - and I have been disappointed by quite some “Great Courses” overviews where I felt like the professors were citing decades old theories … Sorry for digressing.
One of my want-to-do hobby projects is an animated series based on the “Journey Tales” with Thor and comrades, trying to catch the “tongue in cheek” tone that I feel must have been there, and the (probably “North Germanic”? Because full “my style”) cynic approach to life, the universe and … well, everything.
Would love to hear more from and about you!
Marc
Hi Marc,
There is a comic element in some of those stories, particularly the ones that feature Thor traveling together with Loki.
Feel free to email me; you can find my address on my faculty page here: http://www.colorado.edu/gsll/jackson-crawford
Afternoon!
My name is Dan Gorman, and I’m one-third of the Modern Superior Podcasting Network which I co-created with my two best friends Greg LeGros and Casey Lyons. We’re an artist-forward podcast network based out of Toronto, Ontario who have been grinding at it since around 2012. We figured it was as good a time as any to jump into the Patreon game, especially since we recently have converted the network to be a bit more business focused, as we have been growing over the years.
Our Patreon Campaign launched last month, and we’re just getting started with offering bonus audio content, exclusive t-shirt designs and some other perks. We’re hoping to get into bonus video-production soon, and we’re looking to shoot our Patreon Video soon as we hear that is one of the most important aspects to a successful campaign.
All three of us are looking forward to having access to the Patreon Community boards!
Thanks for checking us out!
Cheers

Hello world, it’s me, David! You could get sucked in fairly quick reading through all these awesome creator introductions. I’m loving all the talent involved in this community.
I thought Patreon would be a great place to work on Trollin’, my new fantasy story.
Trollin’ tells the story of Kwado, a troll raised by humans who is thrust out into the wider world. I primarily write science fiction & fantasy, with my book series Chronicles of Acadia. Trollin’ gives me a chance to write something more light-hearted, in the vein of Piers Anthony or Terry Pratchett. I also thought it would be fun to share some behind the scenes content and give myself a better place to connect with readers. I’m pretty new to Patreon so any tips this community has would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for welcoming me to the community!
Hello everyone!
My name is Christopher, but everyone calls me Chris or Angel Boy!
It’s so nice to meet you all and join another social community. I hope that I can meet some other creators here and make some new friends. I’ve only been with Patreon for a little over 2 months and it was going pretty good for the first month there!
Hope that I can do better and keep everyone entertained XD!
Feel free to message me anytime, thank you! <3
