I’ve got a number of different things on the web pointing to my Patreon page. It would be wonderful if there’s a way to track conversions on my actual patreon page. I can see how many clicks these various things get on the various platforms but I don’t know how many take action when they get to my patreon page.
Thanks for making this thread Stuart! I’d recommend you look at the integration between Patreon and Google Analytics as I think that’s your best chance of being able to dive deeper into clicks and conversions. Have you used GA before?
Hey Stuart! I checked in with the team about this, I apologize it took me a while to get back to you.
All the info provided from Patreon will be in your own Google Analytics dashboard. Unfortunately, this is an integration where creators’ need to learn how to use GA to get the most out of it as all the info will appear on their end. I was hoping we would provide our own guide but the support team doesn’t have any plans to expand our help article as the information can all be found on Google Analytic’s help site.. They do a great job giving lots of detailed information about how to start up your own analytics page and learning how to use it. I’d recommend you sign up and start experimenting! Sorry I can’t be more specific at this time.
Thanks for looking into this. I’ve been using google analytics for 10 years and am pretty familiar with it and still don’t know where to find my Patreon info.
I live 3 blocks away from the Patreon office. Can I just pop in an have someone show me real quick?
You know much more about GA than me then! I asked someone for clarification and they said you can find the Patreon data in all the pages you normally get page traffic data - you can search for patreon.com and see the stuff there. To drill deeper, you can:
Find real time learnings in Reports > Real Time: this shows people on your Patreon page now and where they go
To learn more about Patreon acquisition: Behavior tab> behavior flow . Then find your /username Patreon URL and it show traffic through that page. Then look for /bepatreon, /bepatreonconfirm, /posts etc showing where people have clicked and you can measure conversion that way.
Hey! today is actually our last day in the office at 230 9th so I’m afraid that’s not going to be possible did you try CTRL+F? maybe next week we can try and find time but everything is a little hectic atm with the move.
Actually, how about we run a quick online GA workshop to give a run through and answer questions others may have too. Would anyone be interested in joining that?
