My name is Hoyt Silva and I have been working as a professional comic book artist/storyteller for the last 7 years. I’ve worked mainly in print and for independent comics publishers. For the past few months I’ve used Patreon to help me support the production of a couple of weekly webcomics that are available online for completely free. You can read them here if you’d like:
I’m still a noob at all this since I’ve only been at the Patreon thing for a few months. But, I was hoping I could start a thread of creators that also do webcomics! So we could share tips and insights that are particular to our field on Patreon as well as support each other in those creations.
I’ve found Patreon to be a great platform as a digital tip jar I can keep online for anyone who wants to directly support me in my efforts. I also want to be able to spread that love and continue to support others in their effort to create online comics.
So please post a link to your Patreon page/webcomic in the replies and let’s see if we can’t all grow our supporters together! I’ll be glad to check out anyone’s page and offer feedback if you’d like. You can feel free to do the same on mine:
