Promote 3 creators you love per week and gain good karma (and promotion for yourself) =D

It’s an idea we can implement right away on our social network platforms. I believe it will be beneficial for everyone:
. for the creators we are promoting;
. for us (creators that promote others) - when we promote others we are still putting our name/project out there;
. for all Patreon community - because people will see that Patreon is cool and, with all the great examples, will understand how Patreon works, that it’s working for a lot of creators and, perhaps, will want to be a part of it (as a patron or creator);

So, what do you think of this idea, share your thoughts below

And who will you promote this week?

Ps- You don’t have to promote 3 (it can be less or more), neither per week (it can be every day =P) but promote :wink:

I think this is a fantastic idea. It keeps the notion of Patreon fresh in people’s minds and validates it to people who might be skeptical when they start seein’ it more often.

I currently do an Artist Spotlight on my Patreon once a month where I share artworks I have commissioned or gift art I have gotten in the past and I link that artist’s Patreon if they have one. I think I will add a weekly Patreon creator share on my Facebook art page:

1st week of the month: share a friend in my same category just starting, near a milestone, or really workin’ their Patreon and just not gaining traction yet.
2nd week: Share someone in my category who is really successful. They don’t need it, but like I said it validates what I’m doing to people who don’t get it yet.
3rd week: My Artist Spotlight
4th week: Someone outside my category to show the scope of what is supported on Patreon.

Thanks @DiogoTomas . Gonna add this to my monthly Patreon to-do list now. :blush:

Since you came up with this great idea, and it’s technically sort of the last week of the month, I am promoting you first, Diogo. :guitar: I love that intro video you made, by the way.

Oh! Thank you so much @Lochy! I’m not sure if my page is an example of a successful patreon page (at least yet :wink: ) but I do feel very honored that you decided to promote it <3 Thank you and I’m so happy you love the video!

Love this idea so much, Diogo! Creators promoting other creators has been shown to be one of the most effective ways to get new patrons.

I GOT YOUR THREE!

https://www.patreon.com/bitey THIS MAN FATHER ENTIRE GENERATION OF ARTIST. My Mentor! (Study under him like Luke and Yoda ) His work is so under rated and he should be making Bitey of Brackenwood full time. Dude a legend but the world doesn’t know good thing unless it shove in front of their faces.

https://www.patreon.com/BATCLAM This Artist Has Great Talent. She never gets to work as full time artist. She hates her full time job and wants to become full time artist. I think she pay her dues and could use the spot light. Here example of her great skills being put to use.

Also we work together creating comic that on my patreon page. Here something for you guys to look at which is page 3 with out all the text. I focus on creating story/draw up all the line work. She Focus on coloring :smiley: She really kind and sweet person who tries to help others by giving great feed back from all her training in her study of the field of art and gaming design.

I think this is a great idea! I have been sharing other artists photos on my Instagram for example and I have been thinking I’d like to promote other creators on Patreon also, but I think my Patreon is a little too small for that right now, hopefully it will grow and then I’d love to feature other artists! love the idea.

I LOVE that! I have some friends that will too. I will definitely share this with them.
I really like the humorous way she set up her goals and the overall tone of her Patreon page. That is fantastic.

If patreon is small why not we find people who dedicate time broadcasting about other people channels/projects/skills. Like T.V announcer kind of shit. You list the people you going to talk about. Perhaps even have them on the show. Soon before you know it you are bringing awareness to others but improve patreon merit.

@nymla, promoting on Patreon can be great but actually, when I thought about this idea, I was thinking about promotion outside the Patreon platform (like facebook or twitter, …). People who are patrons already know that Patreon is great (I hope) and how it works. Promoting nice Patreon projects is wonderful, specially to everyone who don’t know what Patreon is (or have a bad notion) - and, they are a lot! =P

That would be awesome!

it really that simple. I assume the core audience would start small just the community fellow patreon users but it can grow from there and will branch into other social platforms. Just matter of planting the seed. Im Shock this is not something that has yet been practice by patreon staff itself. No one going to listen to No name people so if patreon itself support it in some way it could be taken seriously. Just idea.

Ooh I see, I misunderstood! That is also a great idea :smiley:

Let do it. Like I have so much free time all ready for myself aside when I spend it on drawing. So Who want do this with me.

OK here are my three:

  1. Tim Schmoyer (Video Creators): his videos are very useful if you want to build a channel on YouTube, and he does really good live sessions on Wednesdays for about an hour.

  2. Nate Maingard: I fell in love with Nate first, and his music second. He makes lovely songs.

  3. Nymla: I’m not yet a Patron due to my lack of funds, but I so would be. Her masks are amazing.

Oh thaaank you so much for including me, Sarah! :smiley:

Although now I’m a little confused, I thought the original idea was to share these on our own social media? Or are we doing it here? ^^

I’m promoting internally and externally on my social media, and by word of mouth:)

Just adding our two cents here–this is absolutely what Patreon should be all about…lifting each other up!
