We need a Currency filter in Relationship manager (pls)

We really need an option to filter Patrons in Relationship Manager according to the currency they support us in.

Now that Patreon offers multiple currencies (which is great, thank you), Creators will need to decide if and when to switch our payout currency in order to minimise FX and withdrawal fees on our end.

The only way to make that decision in an informed way, is to base it on the number of our Patrons pledging in certain currencies.

Yes, I know we can export Patrons to a CSV file but a) that’s cumbersome and b) it doesn’t actually work because AFAIK there’s no way to filter out declined/former Patrons.

So a filter in Relationship Manager that allows us to get a quick snapshot of how many Patrons pledge in different currencies is really needed. Thank you!

+1 This is exactly what I thought after multi-currency feature was implemented.

This!

@thejuicemedia as far as I know, when you export patrons as CSV, it applies the current filters, so if you click on CSV at https://www.patreon.com/members?membershipType=active_patron, then that CSV will only include active patrons (it works as well if you filter based on tiers, or something else)

And then from there you could create a chart using Excel (or similar) to see how many patrons are supporting you in each currency.

That seems to be possible, but I totally agree that it’s quite cumbersome, especially if you want to check that information somehow frequently to base decisions on (without wasting too much time). These seems to be the steps for creating such chart :exploding_head:

Anyway, I love this idea, that much that I’ve actually decided to add it as one of the graphs that are available on the tool that I’m currently working on for Patreon creators (if [any of] you want to give it a try, just DM me) This is the final result, what do you think?

Hi! Thanks for the super helpful info here. And wow - that tool is exactly what we need to keep track of what currency Patrons are pledging in! Would love to give it a try if it’s an option

Hi there,

Thanks for the great feedback, we’re looking into better ways to display currency for patrons across Dashboards and Patron Relationship Manager. Until then the workaround mentioned here to export the CSV download of active patrons and create a chart is your best bet!
