SFW vs NSFW Seeking Feedback

Hi everyone!

I’ve recently been experiencing some turmoil on Patreon when the site suspensions started hitting for implied nude works. I kept my Patreon page safe by Instagram standards publically and do not believe nudity to be adult content I know Patreon disagrees but when my account was switched from a safe for work account to not safe for work I found my Patreonage level decreasing somewhat drastically.

I just launched a safe for work page and before investing a lot more effort in it I’d love some feedback from creators. If you were caught up in this change did you experience a big drop? People say they can’t find my account anymore so I feel like I’m not discoverable anymore as well. Same feelings?

Thank you!

Here are the links to my pages

I don’t work at Patreon, so don’t take my word as law or anything, but from what I do know of Patreon guidelines, the following could get you possibly suspended on your first page (the creating images, videos, and moments one);

  • Your image for the $35 tier shows the shape of your nipples, which might get you hit/looks to be sliiiightly transparent
  • The $250 tier dialogue implies actual sexual activity/stimulation (even if that’s not what’s actually happening), which is definitely not allowed on Patreon if actual people are involved (vs illustrations etc. of course)
  • Your August 8th post with body painting is available to the public, but shows visible nipples even beneath body paint, which could be hit
  • You have more than a few public posts with people in lingerie that’s see-through, etc.
  • Your May 3rd post that’s public links to a ModelMayhem page with full nudity in many of the photos, viewable without an account

For a drop in finding your account, in general, Patreon should imo shouldn’t be the place people find you, especially if you’re making NSFW content; they should originally find you on other places, forums, message boards, discord servers, youtube, twitch, instagram, wherever you’re most well known/comfortable, and then those places should have links to your Patreon.

I run multiple NSFW campaigns myself and have no outgoing links on any of them to any other websites, and checking my traffic stuff on google analytics, most of my traffic comes from people googling my game names/brand name or links from other websites.

Patreon doesn’t allow you to search for NSFW accounts, so that’s likely why it dropped, so yeah, you’d need to do external marketing a lot to compensate.
