Sad and scared

So this was my first Patreon month. My patreon just exploded and right before making my first payout I got hit with supicious activity. My funds are now on hold and my account in review. I understood when I had to wait seven days for first payment method and then another 10 because of the amount. Now it is getting ridiculous. This hit me at a bad time as I already ordered some new gear that will help me make better content. I am really sad and scared about this. My patreons want the content to flow but now that I am frozen I have to stop. I should at least be provided with some information about the supicious activity. What am I supose to do now?

@reyna - while I don’t know the details of this case, I’ve seen a number of complaints in this regard and the biggest problem appears to be lack of transparancy. While I know you can’t share detail with the public, the creator deserves a full, complete, easy to understand explanation. That’s especially true as Patreon has already collected the funds from patrons.

I’m having the same problem. I’m only on month 3 of my Patreon, and I’ve been working to build my subscribers, and suddenly my payout for October (to be paid out Nov 5) was put on hold for ā€œsuspicious activityā€. No details, no response from support. It’s BS.

You are in hold since 5th and no answer? This is just bad

It seems that my account no linger displays the red message and is now back to the green text saying that due to the amount I have to wait 10 days. Fingers crossed

Hi @ReignMocap - thank you for bringing this to our attention. I’m terribly sorry for the stressed this hold has caused you but I’m glad to see that the 7 day hold has been lifted. Please know that while your page is being reviewed, you can continue all normal activity on Patreon, like posting and interacting with your patrons.

While I can’t dive into your account to assist, this help center article has a few more details about this process. And if you haven’t been contacted yet, you can email the team at guidelines@patreon.com

From the help article:

In order to keep creators safe, Patreon restricts the ability for creators to payout their creator balance once suspicious activity has been detected on their account. In addition to restricting payouts, a Patreon Trust & Safety team member will manually review your account and get in touch with you.
We understand that this review may come at a bad time and we want to make sure that you can receive your money when you need it most. If you find yourself in a situation where you need assistance from us sooner, please email our Trust & Safety team directly.

Again, I’m so sorry for the inconvenience. If you’re having a tough time getting in touch with the team send me a DM.

@Lori_Ruri I’m sorry that you’re also having a tough time getting in touch with the Trust & Safety team. It takes a bit of time for the team to get to every ticket but they’re working thoroughly. Have you been able contacted by them to go over the flag yet? If not, you can email the team at guidelines@patreon.com

I knew I could rely on reliable Patreon for not having solved this kind of basic problems.

I’ll read it later, I bet the help article won’t help at all.

Yep, I’m right. I hate it when I’m proven right. It’s really boring.

ā€˜Trust & Safety team’ :joy_cat: Copy paste huh?
Maybe I’ll DM reyna and do a test.
