Patron Manager design feedback

Hey @Geoff, thanks for the comment. Can you share more info about this CSV download for seeing deleted pledges?

@chris1612 welcome back to the forum! Can you share any more about what you like to look up in the old manage? Thanks!

Hi mindy,
The CSV that has no filters applied is not showing deleted pledges, nor declined anymore - only active. I’ve been pulling the same report for years and its always been fine.

Ie I can see all the members who joined and are still active from last month - but absolutely no others.

My only complaint about the new patron manager is that there’s no way to search through names. I know it’s on the old one but that single feature will keep me using the old one only until the new one has the same search functionality.

For downloading CSVs, I’d really like if the CSV would reflect any filters that are currently active. E.g. if I set it to show only 3 tiers, and only processed pledges, then I don’t have to deal with removing declined / fraud pledges or unselected tiers from the CSV.

Agree on the CSV. I’d also like the tiers NOT to have descriptions in the export as that means having to resize the columns manually or delete those rows to ā€˜fit to content’ will work.

For me, it is impossible to use the new Relationship Manager. I don’t understand anything and I tried, and the fact that patrons are not separated by tiers is terrible as many said in the thread. I get 200+ patrons each month and I need to have them separated by tiers, specially by the end of the month. I REALLY wish, if this new manager is going to stay, they do not replace the old manager and give it back to creators that already had it disappear from their pages, like a friend of mine. Please keep both options in that case.
The ā€œMark completeā€ option is absolutely necessary. Every day I need to have a clear section of the new, non complete patrons of this month (not only the active pledgers) to distinguish them from the others, and send the rewards quickly to each tier with mass selection, without scrolling. Without separate tables of complete and non complete patrons, it would take me hours to send out rewards every month and I would rather just drop Patreon at all even if it is my full time job. I’m becoming worried by these changes, and I wish the organization clearly asked creators about modifications before doing them, because maybe the Relationship Manager is useful for some people, but not for most. The work of a content creator is exhausting, more if we can’t even deliver out rewards normally :frowning:
Besides, I personally always trusted the old Manager regarding processed payments or not. I have my concerns trusting the Relationships Manager ā€œpaidā€ texts, when more erratic messages have been given in places like patrons profiles, regarding lifetime, etc.

Also, the new design that crops the ā€œabout meā€ section, or at least is applied to me, and just shows some tiers saying ā€œshow moreā€ below, is unconvenient; many of us are noticing less patrons of the tiers that appear only by clicking the ā€œshow moreā€ button, because many Patreon users do not like to read and want the content being easily understandable and accessible. So it’s really not working good :c

I hope you can understand my feedback, I know I criticize many points but because this is what pays my bills it worries my enormously, and many of my creator friends told me exactly these same points.

unsurprisingly i am not super pumped abt the new relationship manager but the loss of knowing how many times someone donates to me before their donation is capped (i am on the ā€œper updateā€ payment schedule) is actually troublesome and i would appreciate that returning. it used to be something you would see when you hover over the pledge amount but now its just…gone.

i also dont see a way to select certain patrons to send a message to, like when i want to send a message out to certain (not all) declined people to ask them to check their payment info

e: regarding the PATREON manager: the old version was easier to read.

Is anyone else unable to see their most recent Benefits? At the beginning of Feb I should have had been able to see outstanding benefits for 2 previous patrons and 1 newcomer, but there was nothing. I thought I might be imagining things but I checked today after a patron upgraded as part of my special offer and there’s no record of what they’re owed.

We also used to use this feature and miss it!
