I have a question. I have about 30 video lessons that I want to make available to my Patrons and I want to upload them in one day. Obviously I don’t want them to receive 30 emails in one day!
Is there a way to publish a post without sending a notification email to my Patrons?
Hi Marco, maybe you could upload them all the same day, but schedule them to be published on different days? This way you do all the work in one day, but your patrons will receive one email every few days, according to how you scheduled them.
It’s been a couple of years. Anyone know if this possible yet? I have about 480 items in my back catalog to post and definitely don’t want to spam my backers with that.
So, I found a solution. Post to only a tier with no backers, then edit the post to include everyone you want. Only the originally assigned patrons get the notification, not the ones added in the edit.
So far, it’s been working well. I grabbed a couple of my patrons and ran a test with no issues. Since then I’ve pushed up about 100 posts of my webcomic’s back catalog in three days. I post a page a week, but need to get all the older material posted as well.
@Bradley_Potts - thanks again for sharing this workaround with everyone.
I wanted to let you know that I have personally taken this feedback to our product team! We’d love to make this a more streamlined process for all Patreon creators.
