I could have sworn the process was once more simple and straight-forward, but there doesn’t seem to be a way for a Patron to change what reward they’ve selected without having to edit their pledge and go through a lot of steps. Right now, when they try to select a different reward it changes their pledge amount to that amount and they have to manually set it back (if they notice). If they select custom, it defaults to some other pledge amount (not sure where this value comes from) instead of their current amount as well. It’s like the process is focused more on the amount of money rather than the reward.
It would be nice if it showed a dropdown list of reward options based on their current pledge amount (including no reward) that they could just select from right on that first screen they get when they edit their membership. Quick and easy. You could even include a little note that said, “other tiers are available if you pledge more” that took them through the current multistep (way too many) process.
