Connecting With Other Visual Artists

Oh well, we might debate about that “lift each other up” for ages (while dragging this whole thread to an OT, lol) but you’re the very first artist I managed to have a decent interaction with, so far…So I can’t really tell, I guess. I got a feeling It should be like that, tho.

As for my social media(s): unfortunately I’m not the “social guy” :frowning: . Game development is such a b***h that the only spare time you’re left with, you usually spend it sleeping (after collapsing, lol) rather than drawing for fun/sharing like I used to. As for saying, in the last two years I’ve been delivering stuff (or “chunks” of stuff) being either of no (artistic) interest whatsoever/or likely to spoil in-game content if shared on social medias. I mean it’s all very dull if watched from a “stand-alone” perspective rather than from a global/in-game one (if that makes any sense to you ). I try to keep it fun by arranging live streams on Picarto.tv every now and then, but that’s the “social-est” I can get for now  .

Anyway: I’m currently working on “Girls in the big city”, an hentai parody based on DC comics characters.
here’s its (NSFW!!!) Patreon Page.

P.S.
I managed to take a looksie at your IG art feed and despite not being into furry, I really liked your style!
More specifically, I liked “United - Of Temrin and Elias”, that was so intense. Congrats!

I am so sorry that that has been your experience thus far
I know a lot of artists that are cool with NSFW content even if they don’t do it themselves. Hopefully you will find more accepting minds going forward!

And yeah, i totally understand how much work needs to be put into things that it leaves little time for social media. I’ve made it a huge part of my actual job and while it does make production a bit slower, i’ve found it to be integral to my job so i just, do it. But that is a “to each their own” sort of deal. (I totally know how it is, doing behind the scenes stuff and it’s like “I AM doing things!” but it’s hard to show it for various reasons or just because a lot of people seem uninterested in posts bout code.)

Oh nice! I wish you lots of luck with your game! What i can see so far, it’s looking pretty awesome!

Oh thank you! That was one of the few personal pieces done this year, done as part of the Inktober challenge this past October. I’m so happy you like it!

Hello All, I’ve recently written this to introduce myself and hope it’s OK to copy and paste it here as it says the same thing really.

The only thing to add is that you can also follow what I’m up to here:

Here’s my copy/pasted intro from a few days ago:

Hello Everyone,

I’m Jack Lowe, a photographer and sound recordist.

After three years, I’m nearly halfway through an epic journey that I first conceived back in 2012. It’s called The Lifeboat Station Project and is one of the largest photographic projects ever attempted. In short, it involves me travelling to all 238 RNLI lifeboat stations in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

But there’s a twist! I travel in my mobile darkroom — a decommissioned NHS emergency ambulance affectionately named Neena . I work as the Victorians used to, you see, making my photographs on 12x10 inch glass with a 1905 mahogany plate camera and process the photographs in Neena as I make them.

Making this historical archive has become a truly magical experience for all involved.

My Patreon page describes it all in a bit more detail, as does my website, but this photograph sums it all up pretty well too:

Anyway, I was so pleased when a friend introduced me to Patreon back in November. I REALLY needed to find a new way of strengthening the financial foundations of The Lifeboat Station Project and Patreon certainly seems to be the answer I was looking for!

This in itself has been a really exciting landmark on the journey and I can’t wait to see how it all develops (forgive the pun) through 2018.

Looking forward to hearing all your advice/stories and helping out where I can too.

With best wishes for the year ahead,

Jack

Just now found this thread, and I’m glad to other artists on the board here

I’m a mixed-media artist and crafter, among other activities, and I sell my physical arts & crafts on Zibbet (which is like Etsy only better, because it’s the way Etsy used to be, if you catch my drift). I also have a number of POD sites where the digitial versions of my work go out to the word. Here are my significant links:

My Patreon page https://www.patreon.com/Jan4insight
Zibbet shop: https://www.zibbet.com/jan4insight
My TeePublic store: Jan4insight TeeStore

I have more POD sites, but I’ll think I’ll stop there. Thanks for looking!
