Hello, i hope someone helps me, I am new to patreon and a friend of mine was supposed to pay me 25$ via patreon.
The app says that I have 25$/month pledged
But my balance is zero, and my friend’s life time payment is zero, so whenever I try to withdraw the money from patreon to my PayPal it tells me that I can’t because my balance is zero.
My friend says that he payed a lot of people the same way before and they received the money, so, where is the mistake?
There are two different ways you will get money depending on your settings:
By default, you get paid and patrons get charged on the 1st of the month AFTER they pledge. So if they pledged after the cutoff for march, then they won’t get charged until April 1st.
You have the option to also “charge upfront” and by doing so, they get charged immediately upon sign up and you get the money once processed. After that, the person gets charged and you get paid on the 1st of the months after that. You have to set this setting yourself though so if you didn’t do so, it will not work. (Please note that making this change is PERMANENT and does come with some draw backs. So make sure you research –before- making the change to ensure it is right for you.
If you do have charge upfront already and it’s not working, you will need to send a support ticket to patreon staff through the patreon.com website itself, not here.
