Statistics for Posts!

I’d like to know:

  1. How many people are clicking each post.
  2. How many people are downloading the attached files.
  3. How many people are visiting my public page per day/week/month etc
  4. Anything else that helps me know what my people want by way of behavior…

Does this exist and I can’t find it?

Thank you!

Seconded, more and better statistics for posts please! It’s currently impossible to get a clear idea of visibility and interaction!

Agreed, these would be awesome. There currently isn’t a way to see these things and i think more data for us to view would help us figure out whats working and whats not.

I also cosign!! I have been wondering the same thing.

I would like referrer URLs. I want to know where people are talking about my content so I can go there and engage with them.

In fact, just let me embed a google analytics bug and I’m happy.

This would be a really beneficial feature for me as well.

This would be very useful. I’d especially love it to see how many times people have downloaded a specific file.

Absolutely. We have some rewards that are somewhat time consuming for us to create (like bonus episodes) and we have no idea if anyone is even listening to them, or how many patrons are. Would be very helpful to know which posts are getting the most attention so we know where to focus more of our time.

This would be fantastic. I use recurpost for some of my posts and some tags and it would be great to know if anything is happening as a direct result.

Examples of questions this would answer:
How many times am I sharing a post before it gets clicked?
Is there a magic number of sharing posts to get that click?
Is there a number of times sharing a post before it is mentally ignored/no longer effective?
Are their certain types of posts that get more clicks?
Is there a specific wording that is more effective in gaining attention?
How far are people exploring when I share a tag? Are they exploring at all?
Which things am I posting are most popular so I can make more of that?
Which images are getting clicked to see full size?
Is an old post getting a resurge in interest due to a scheduled repost?

There are so many more things we could glean from this information to help us with marketing and production and would save so much time to get rid of whatever isn’t working, add more of what is, and make better use of our time in general.

I second the motion as well! I very much appreciate the data we have on the 15 most recent posts under “Posts” in the Dashboard, even though it’s incomplete (doesn’t include mobile views or views from someone’s patreon home feed). I’ve often wished that these stats went back beyond 15 posts–I have a lot of posts linked to YouTube videos and I’d love to be able to keep track of how much conversion I have from YouTube viewers coming over to Patreon. I’m always a little bummed when one of those falls off the “15 posts I can view stats for” page. And I’d LOVE to know how many are downloading attached files. That would be wonderfully helpful to my efforts.

Agreed I like to compile an organized zip of files at the end of the month and for all I know it has never been downloaded once.

I suggest using google analytics to check out the amount of mobile traffic in your page; though you are right, we can’t figure it out for each post, and it would be really helpful going beyond the last 15 .

plus one – google analytics doesn’t do enough. I have no idea how many downloads have occurred. Impossible to know how well things are doing outside of likes/comments, and that requires an extra level of engagement many people won’t do, even if they download your content.
