Hi folks! I wanted to share that this Thursday, Feb 1, you’ll begin seeing the percentage of your pledges processed as per the image above. Also, please ignore the mock language that says “I am a tool tip.” This is a mock and the only image I currently have to share - but it will give you some idea of what you’ll see on Patreon as we begin processing pledges.
This is but a small step on the road to improving your experience. I know you all have a lot to say about payments, particularly requesting charge up front. As a reminder, if you would like to request, please direct message and I’ll put in a request for you.
It seems a lot of people panic on a regular basis when their pledges haven’t all processed on the 1st and/or when they don’t all go through at once. I hope the “tool tip” will mention something about those being the ones processed so far or that they are still in the process of processing or that they should be finished processing by X date.
I’ve realized that all of my pledges tend to finish processing by the 5th and don’t worry about it before then, but there might need to be some kind of little note for the people who seem to lose their chill every month when their money hasn’t gone through and it’s just the 2nd or 3rd.
I remember the old days in 2013 / 2014 when pledge processing took all day, and often multiple days. I’m always amazed now at how quickly they process on the 1st.
Logged into my Patreon earlier to see 81% processed, came back an hour or so later to see 100%. It really helped to see when all the money had come in rather than guessing and having to make an extra withdrawal or two.

OK! Directly from the product team - “we will retry, in fact we begin retrying as soon as it hits 100%.” They also noted that this does show in the final tool tip.
Today 2018/2/9 and still pending charges for some patreons whose last attempt for Patreon is dated 02/02…
If one of these patrons unsubscribe, he has been almost a month and a half with access to my content and 0 benefit without accomplish his pledge. and I can´´ t do nothing… (as it has happened previously and I bet I’m not the only one).
Definitely things here don´´t work well.
Great feature, and more generally, it’s awesome to see processing time much faster these days. I used to get a lot of very passionately written inquiries from users about reward delivery when it took a week. Having it all happen in a day or less has been one of the best changes to the platform over the past year.
Yeah, clearly there’s a bug in the system. Only $34 processed so far for me - usually we’re at the halfway mark by this time of day. It’s still early on west coast. Hopefully they’ll figure it out this morning and fix.
