Hiya,
I’m trying to decided if it’s worth the 3% fee +cost of merch, to do the merch programme. Can anyone give me feedback on your experience with this?
I plan to offer Merch for my $5 tier and $20 tier.
Thanks so much for any feedback or tips!

I don’t have experience with Patreon’s Merch Programme, so I can’t comment on how well it works, but, another way to offer merch is through sites like Zazzle, RedBubble, etc. I have a store of Zazzle where the merch is set to direct link only so that it doesn’t show on the website and made a password protected area on my author website where I display all the patron-only merch that’s available. Redbubble does things differently, you can’t do direct link through them like with Zazzle, but you can make the store private, order the merch yourself, and then ship it to the patron that wanted it. There are other sites out there too that might work for you for providing merch to patrons.
Thanks so much! I was shipping merch to patrons myself and found it a bit overwhelming
so I thought I’d try patreon’s service. I’m going to see how it goes for now, but I’ll definitely look into Zazzle! That sounds great with the direct link.
Glad to help! If you don’t want to do as I’ve done with a password locked area on one of my websites, but want it all contained on Patreon, you could probably just make a post with all your available merch (with links and a pic) and make it accessible to the specific tiers that you want. You can even make it a pinned post so that it always features at the top of your page and doesn’t get buried and just update that post with new merch as it becomes available.
