Goals work just fine for me. Mind you i’m fairly small potatoes but myself and my patrons enjoy being able to unlock new bonus content and more, with goals.

I definitely agree here. You loose a lot of “real estate” with such a large banner and users generally want to do the least amount of work to understand what they are looking at. So scrolling a bunch is not ideal for viewer retention.

Goals have been the largest factor in converting followers to patrons for me. Most of those who support me do so to help me create art and reach those goals, not to get rewards. I’ve reworked my reward tiers and had special offers, but I rarely get the kind of patron who is extrinsically motivated. I’ve had more success by sharing how close I am to my next goal and when followers see that my goal is something that will help me create more art, not stuff for them, they tend to have a better conversion.
I like the subtlety of the page color options. It definitely allows for those with branded colors to have a more defined page unique to them. Now if only I could figure out what my color will be…
