Multiple Audio Files

As a music creator I’d like to be able to make one post containing multiple audio files.

I offer my Patreons downloads to my music and right now there is no easy way of doing this other than providing a cloud-based link of my own for them to download it from. This is not very convenient as I need to make sure indefinitely that my are working.

If this isn’t possible then adding a Downloads post type could solve it as I then could upload a compressed archive of the full collection of music.

Hey @Michel, thanks for reaching out. Good news - You can do this! You can attach audio files to any post type. Check out the link below and scroll down to “Attaching an audio file to any post type” to see how. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply @reyna . Although it feels nice to know that I’m able to do this, I still feel it would make sense if the posts intended for Audio could do this as well. When people who aren’t subscribing visit my page and see that I have a high number of “Image” posts (where I have attached audio), they might now feel it’s relevant to them as they visit for the music.

Thanks for showing this though!

This came to good use already @reyna as I now understand how to upload files. So what I did was make a “Image” post (as I want to be able to have a visual header) and attached a zip-file with an audio production asset.

As state above though, this will start to pack all my posts into the “Images” post type only to get the ability to have visuals with my content. All post types should have an image header option! And really, having a download post type should be relevant for many creators on this platform.

I totally hear you. Having visual headers for every post is a fair ask and I’m making note! I’m happy to hear file attachments is working for you for the time being. Thanks for all your feedback @Michel!

Hi There! Has this feature been updated so that music posts allow more than one audio file?

Very good point. And it’s a pity that it still hasn’t been worked on after a year… Perhaps worth revisiting it @reyna ?

Hi everyone! Sherene from the Patreon product marketing team here. I wanted to drop in with an update.

The product team is currently in the process of investigating how to best improve post creation (and audio definitely falls into that bucket!). I’ve shown them this thread with all of your ideas for making Patreon better for music/audio creators. Thank you again for surfacing this, it’s incredibly valuable as we work on improving Patreon.
