I’ve seen a few artist folks sporting two separate patreon accounts! Most commonly one is specifically dedicated for their nsfw-art and the other is for their sfw-art. ( It makes sense to separate the two.) – But, I’ve also seen people sport more than one when it comes to projects ie: you can support me for “games here”, “art here” – I’m curious if theres a one-patron-account-per-creator rule? – and if not, would there ever be an option to have multiple pages tied to one account in the future? – Is this in the works?
It makes a lot of sense to me personally! 
I’m just curious more than anything!

There isn’t any rule, that I know of, against havin’ multiple accounts. I really wish I’d thought of havin’ a separate account for my NSFW stuff. While it seems to bring in the patrons for other artists, I think it might be harming my patreon campaign. I have had some very religious friends and family ask how to pledge and once I told them and they saw my page I think they maybe freaked out a little that I have a NSFW reward tier because as a result they never pledged and never mentioned it again. Sorry to go off on a tangent, but has anyone else had their NSFW art keep them from getting patrons?
Back to what you were saying: It would be FANTASTIC if I could have two accounts and have them tied to one account. Even better if say I did make a separate NSFW page that they would still get all of the rewards on the SFW page, but the SFW people wouldn’t be seen as associated with the NSFW artwork, if that makes any sense…
Thank you for bringin’ this up. It’s something that has been naggin’ at the back of my mind and I think it may be poll the patrons time!

I have two… or 1.5, depending on how you count. One Patreon is for my personal projects, the other represents the work of a collaboration I’m a part of. It isn’t always an easy division (for example, when I spend time on projects for the latter, do patrons of my first account get access?) but it’s certainly easier to have separate entities than to try to manage a bunch of different projects with different flavors from within a single Patreon account.

Yes, you can have multiple accounts on Patreon; you would just need to sign up with a different email. Multi-page accounts are definitely something that’s on our radar, as they would be helpful to creators who work in different mediums as well as larger publications that work with multiple creators. That said, we are not currently working on building this.
If you ever have questions for the Patreon team specifically, I’d recommend sending a support ticket using this short form. Definitely keep asking the community things they might know the answers to though.

I’ve used the short form before to send feedback and suggestion (in-fact thats how i found out about the patreoncommunity sign up in the first place) but I was just curious about what other creators thought of the idea too! I am thrilled to know that its on your radar and that this is allowed!

@samkalensky, do you have multiple accounts? Since we’ve discussed this I’ve gone ahead and broken off the NSFW portion of mine, but as opposed to being completely separate it’s an extension of my main Patreon. Looks like this is further down the road for development by Patreon, but I was thinkin’ we could continue the discussion and share how best to go about managing two accounts.
@Lochy Not yet!! When and if i do ever decide to make a separate account for nsfw arts its very likely to be under a pen name! I will likely give it to close friends and existing patrons that might want it. (i’ll likely do a poll and tell people to message me privately for it.) -
Because I do a lot of irl events, i just feel safer that way somehow, the degree of separation is important to me/my brand… idk how to explain, haha!
I’m also a bit too busy right now with sfw-work to make it worth while, but if i ever feel the need to in future, its nice to have the option.
–But yes! I agree and think that thats a great idea!!

I made mine as more the upper level tiers for my main site so that I wasn’t really creating an entirely new thing and doubling my work. Patrons on the NSFW page will also get all of the rewards on the main page. I have also made it clear that the original SFW site is the main site and that’s where the majority of my work will be. I have also taken away any reference to the NSFW site on the main page in rewards and goals so as to clean up any stigma that might make people hesitate before pledging. I’ll continue to promote the main site on FB for friends and family and use DA and tumblr to promote both.
So far the transition is going smoothly, but I’ll see for sure in February when I launch the extension. My only real issues are the goals. I’m already 4 goals in and havin’ my two largest contributing patrons going to the new one makes it look like I have only reached 2 when I’m actually combining funds from both. I haven’t figured out how to make that look right just yet.
