Merch for Membership: lower prices and international shipping!

Hey creators,

We introduced Merch for Membership back in May with limited availability. This service allows creators to offer a merch item (like a sticker, mug, and poster) as a benefit on a tier for your patrons. We take care of everything for you, so the item gets shipped automatically after 3 months of patronage. All you have to do it pick the item, design what goes on it, and then assign it to a tier, Then we handle the address gathering, benefit tracking, item production, and fulfillment all on your behalf.

We started small — with limited availability, a small selection of items, and US shipping only. But now we’re thinking bigger with a vision to have a great selection of custom items and shipping everywhere for all creators on Patreon. And we’re working towards that for you!

In the recent weeks, we launched:

  • lower item prices
    • Stickers are now $3 cheaper per item
    • Mug s are now $2 cheaper per item
  • flat rate shipping, and
  • international shipping to Canada and Australia, with more countries to come soon!

What’s to come, you ask? T-shirts and making this more widely available for creators to use.

To see if you’re eligible for Merch at this time, head on over to your Edit tiers page. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

It’s so cool! I hope I get to that stage soon. Al though I’m really wondering if my patrons would even like merch…but who knows!

Is there a plan to make this work with per-creation campaigns, or will it remain locked away from us like special offers?

Hi again–merch, like special offers, is only offered to creators on the per-month income model. The reason is due to how complex it is to track time-to-earn benefits for patrons of per-thing creators. I wish I had a better answer for you, here, and thank you for your understanding.

I hope that with the help of Patreon it will be possible to create a full-fledged gift shop with delivery worldwide. And do not create an online store for this on a separate platform.
In the near future I want to launch my merch. Start with t-shirts.
