An issue I’ve noticed with Patreon is awarded monthly content seems to get lost, and there’s no real effective archive system to retrieve them.
With how I run an manage my Patreon, I send out monthly bundles of files and the like but over time they get lost in a sea of updates forcing people to have to dig in order to find past content.
It would be nice if there was a way to create a portal page, or a quick navigation, to past posts or highlighted posts separate from your introduction.
Another thing I would love to see implemented is several levels of permission. Right now when i upload content I can only choose a single level of permission, for example: I can post something that only $10+ patrons can see, but then $10- patrons cannot see it at all and are not notified. I think it would be more beneficial if you could opt to have some of the post hidden, such as attached files, while still having the thumbnail visible to all patrons. That way it might entice patron who are donating less, to donate more when they notice the amount of content they are missing out on.
If any of this currently exists and I’m just oblivious to it, please let me know. But if these features aren’t implemented yet… do they sound like feasible additions?
I do like the idea of a thumbnail or cropped image for lower level patrons and non-patrons to see and then the patrons at the appropriate level can see the entire thing. This way the lower level patrons/non-patrons could see a little of what they’re missing and it would still show up in their feed. This would work well if they implemented something for writers where the first line or two was visible to all, but only patrons at the appropriate level could read the post in its entirety. Thumbnails and excerpts might work well as teasers.
I wish there was a way to organize/archive older works, but they do have tags in beta and I’m rather pleased with how well that is working so far.

I’ve made a sort of jerry-rigged system for this, for patreons-only WIPs of my works:
I made posts for each tier of patronage with all the stuff they have access to - let’s call them “content masterposts”
I update these posts every time I post an update or new piece
On each patrons-only progress report post, I put links to those posts at the bottom
I send a thank you message to each patron when they sign up and include a link to their “content masterpost”
I tagged each of these posts with “Masterposts”
I made “Masterposts” a featured tag
(For public releases of finished products, I just tag them with “Releases” and make that a featured tag.)
It would be nice to have this more streamlined, but this system works pretty well for me currently!
