Hey creators,
Patreon just launched a partnership with podcast hosting company Acast offering improvements to patron-only RSS feeds. I’m Brian, from the Patreon team and I worked with Acast on the launch. I’ll be sharing some tips and answering questions about it this week.
Today’s focus is how the free integration helps with your new patrons, existing patrons, and promotion to drive new members.
-
For new patrons:
Acast’s interface for patrons to subscribe to their individual feed is more secure and easier to set up in any app that can directly add a feed (including Google Podcasts as of last week!) -
To support existing patrons:
You get a universal link that authenticates the patron before they subscribe, so you can simply direct patrons back to this link; no more need to ask patrons to find their unique link themselves on the Patreon website -
The same universal link can be shared in your show notes and on social media. If a non-patron fan follows the link, it takes them to a page to pledge and immediately get the exclusive content.
More from me tomorrow with tips about setting up Acast.
