I made a post with pictures that were vertically oriented. The original image is vertical, my saved image is vertical, and the pictures looked perfect. They are 2.9 MB each. After I saved them in a scheduled post, I came back to edit and ALL the pictures are horizontal now! I replaced one, it looked great, then saved it and reopened it and now it’s horizontal again.
This happens to me all the time too. You have to open your photos in photoshop and crop and re-save them as a fresh image.
There’s no Patreon fix for this and they won’t look at this issue or fix it, so you need to either re-save your photos after cropping them or just offer them as a download at the end of your entry.
Thank you for the response! Patreon support did respond with a very helpful article. These were my first photos to post straight from my new iPhone. The pictures were so good that didn’t even need to crop or adjust them so I had simply saved them from my iphoto to a file on my computer. Apparently, the problem is because the new phone has extra info embedded in the files.
To fix the problem, all I did was open them in photoshop, save them as jpgs, re-uploaded them to my post and it fixed the problem. Here is the link to the article Patreon sent me Why is my picture turned sideways? - Blogs - Mandolin Cafe Forum
