Sorry, got a little excited there. Please let us know when this stuff rolls out. I sometimes get so used to things as they are I don’t notice new features right away. Thanks so much for the update.

I agree with Lochy’s point about not noticing new features! It’s also confusing when things suddenly change and I didn’t see any notice that they would be changing. I think many of us would appreciate being better informed about what’s going on.
Thanks for the update, @erin. So, this means we will, finally, be able to see a list of our followers?
Since this thread is about followers, I’m wondering why comments from followers don’t show up in the Notifications screen? I try to reply to comments whenever I can, but I have to hunt down the ones from followers.
Thank you for bringing that up, Lisa. It’s been something I’ve been meaning to ask about as well. I check my Patreon feed daily, but I check my email about once or twice a week. I sometimes don’t even know a follower or random person going by has commented because it doesn’t show up in my Patreon notifications. As a result, I sometimes don’t respond to their comments until 3-5 days later unless I just happen to look at my most recent post. Further problems arise because I use Recurpost to share previous Patreon art posts on my Facebook page and Twitter so if someone comments on one of those artworks there isn’t a chance I will notice it until I go through my email inbox.
We really need to treat everyone who isn’t a patron as a potential patron, fan, or friend. If they are taking the time to comment on our artwork they are obviously interested in what we’re doing and we need to know so we can respond as quickly as possible. It’s difficult to build a rapport with someone when you reply half a week later. They’ve moved on and we’ve missed out. If someone wants to talk to me about what I’m doing, believe me, I don’t care if they’re not pledging. I want to talk to them.
Bumping this up again, because despite months of “we’re working on it”, we still have no information about followers. Can someone please let us know when we will have access to that information? @carla
Yes! I don’t have a specific timeline, but the product team has actually scoped this. Let me follow up with them on this and see if I can get any more information to you.
Hi all - happy new year!
We are working on providing you with your list of followers and are very very close to having something for you. We just did a round of feedback with some creators on the tool, and are going to be tweaking some things in response before rolling it out.
In terms of the other item in the conversation - knowing when a follower has made a comment - that is not something we’re working on just yet, but I’ll be adding it to the list of things my team addresses.
Best,
Erin
Thanks, Erin.
It may sound weird or silly, but I keep my Patreon page open in a tab all day as a reminder that there are people who support me. I find it very motivating. On the other hand I don’t keep my email open as it can turn into a huge distraction. I would love a notification on Patreon whenever anyone commented on a post, not just patrons. Although it would be nice if patron comments were on top so as to prioritize them. <3
For me, a comment is a comment, whether it’s from a patron, a follower, or just someone who wanders by. I want to be notified of them. I want them to be listed on my notifications page. I don’t see any logic in treating comments differently, based on what type of viewer wrote them.
Agreed!
Thirded!
Ok, folks - you can now see a LIST OF YOUR FOLLOWERS! To do that:
Voila! Now, you aren’t able to see their email address or message them… yet. But our next plan of attack is giving you a way to reach your followers. For now, though, you can see the names of people following you and getting your public posts.
Oh, by the way, we also added a CSV export. Enjoy! (And keep feedback coming)
Excellent! Thank you!
And – OMG. Now I know I have 48 followers, which I would NEVER have imagined. That changes EVERYTHING in terms of my posting habits. Super useful to know, thank you for making this happen!
Cool. I have just as many followers as I do patrons. I’m not sure what I’ll do with that information, but I’m sure it will figure into how I post in the future. Thanks!
Let me know what you end up trying, and whether it works. We’re definitely interested in giving you all more actionable suggestions of what to do with this information as well!
Thank you SO much!
This is amazing! (I look forward to your next steps too! I would love to be able to send little goodies to my followers and engage them in some public polls and stuff :3 )
(holy carp. I have 105 followers
)
AJFSLKSDF!!! YES! Thank you, Erin!

I have 36 followers! Probably not much compared to others, but I genuinely thought I had maybe 6 tops. This is very motivating!
That’s 105 potential patrons! YES! Remember, followers are notified of all your public posts, so that can be a vehicle for capturing their attention.
One idea we’ve seen be successful with other creators is the idea of a “limited time reward.” e.g., become a patron at the $x level by y date, and you’ll get z (something easy to fulfill)." My team is going to start running some small experiments with a couple creators around this, but there’s no reason you can’t start trying it yourself!
And if you do end up trying it, please let me know what you did and how it worked so that we can all learn and get better over time!

36 is nothing to sneeze at! That’s 72 more eyeballs than you thought you had!
