Explore creators function

Since it changed a few years ago, Patreon has been promising that the explore creators function would improve - one day. However, as far as I can tell, it’s the same as it was then - basically, that you see the top 20 creators in each category, but if you want to see more, you have to use the search. Now, this might be OK if the search function wasn’t so rudimentary - there is no advanced version, that I can see, no way to filter results, and the results are pretty randomly (from what I can tell).

Why is this? It almost seems as if Patreon is being obtuse here, when the solution is obvious. There are all sorts of useful criteria that would provide more meaningful ways of discovering creators - e.g.: highest earning, most patrons, amount of time on Patreon (oldest/newest), locality, frequency of update, etc. And yet, Patreon insists on persisting with the old top 20.

Any ideas, anyone?

I’ve been wondering this since day one.
There is absolutely NO WAY I can browse all the creators in say, Drawing/Painting, or just Video, or most funded, etc.
Agree completely.

How’s about we had a browse function already? It would be nice to be able to use the platform itself for marketing, but it seems Patreon only wants to promote and help market even more, the top-earners.

I agree, it’s a disgrace. I wanted to browse creators and YOU CAN’T DO THAT. You’re only allowed to see the few top creatirs they want you to see. “Explore”, my foot!
