Other folks (including myelf) have said how it is helpful to them. I would suggest reading other replies in the thread. (Most who’ve said they want it, also want it to be optional so those who dont want or need it can turn it off. It’s a pretty simple addition
to the current email settings we have.)
Its an option, so if it did exist it would be optional.
As you missed from this thread and several other threads its something some of us need more than want.
“I don’t want it. Also … what is it?”
I want it! I actually have Zapier set up to email me when someone deletes a pledge, but it would be a lot smoother if it were native, and the email included the patron’s response to the exit survey. Why make us hunt for it?
While it would be amazing if they could include that, note that the exit surveys are currently set up to be “anonymous” (in practice, it’s usually possible to infer the patron by the timestamp).
Potentially instead or in addition to the exit survey, there could simply be a “Leave a message to [creator name] to let them know why you cancelled” field.
This isn’t about your feelings, it’s about economics and being able to budget.
This is the sort of thing that would be super useful for a lot of creators AND super easy for Patreon to implement… Why doesn’t it actually happen? Anyone know?
@reyna This seems like it would make life easier for a lot of people, and those who don’t want it could opt out. Is there a reason we don’t have this as an option?
(Side note, many of us would like this option for declines as well)
(Second side note, another option that would be super helpful is a summary of deleted/declined pledges by billing cycle, or per creation for this of us who bill that way)
