Just great that you took the time to check it out, so thank you so much.
James, your page looks great! I love the goals youāve laid out and how they directly affect specific expenses you have. Really love the images in your description as well.
A couple thoughts:
-It might be worth promoting your Patreon page a bit more on your Youtube channel (i.e. adding a link in your āaboutā section, at the end of your youtube descriptions, and āsubscribeā annotations on your videos).
-Consider sharing some āpublic postsā on your Patreon page. Having patron-only posts is a great way to entice potential patrons to pledge to you, but having a few public posts gives them a better idea of what to expect when they do.
Hey Jeff,
Apologies for taking so long to give some feedback!
Your page is great; I really like how you set the stage in your description and that you have a lot of publicly viewable content. I might recommend condensing the amount of rewards you offer; maybe getting rid of $2 and $30. The most popular pledge level is $3, so youāll want to pay the most attention to this one.
Ellie, thanks so much for the feedback - I really appreciate it! I think I understand that principle behind consolidating and getting rid of a couple of reward levels. Can you elaborate a little more on your suggestion āpay the most attentionā to the $3 level? Would you suggest itās important to be almost disproportionately generous at the level that seems to be the most popular?
Very grateful for the input!
Absolutely! Our data team took a deep dive into rewards awhile back and found that $3 was the most popular reward level. I think you have a solid $3 reward and ditching the $2 one might increase the number of patrons who pledge $3; but feel free to take this with a grain of salt!
You might enjoy this blog post with some more data-backed tips.
Thanks for the tips Ellie. Still working on incorporating more Patreon into the channel. Lots of areas to get into a congruent style. I have the 1:4 free/patron content sticky on the monitor but not totally into the workflow yet. Still digesting a webcast on time management for creators.
Thanks again. Loads of helpful people here.
Iām usinā the Patreon intro video as a placeholder until I figure out how Iām going to make my own to make it more personal. Thanks in advance for any insights you might provide.
Have a friend record it and just talk to them. Some of the better ones Iāve seen donāt seem scripted at all.
Hello Looking forward for some form of evaluation or any kind of feed back.
Currently trying to get hold of some form video capturing device or software that would allow me make quick simple video.
Unfortunately I no longer have any means of software to animate or funds to properly promote myself in artistic fashion that would best represent my page. So for now I just focus on making content mainly the comic that looking to finish
I think I started my patreon July 2014 so I spent time during the years working on the page look.
You can pick up a basic webcam for very little money, that would get you a basic ability to put your face up on the screen. And be creative with it. Just because it is designed to sit on your monitor doesnāt mean it HAS to sit on your monitor.
There is loads of promotion that you can do for no cost other than your time. You have to find the people who would appreciate your creation and get it in front of them: forums, social media pages/groups, commenting on similar work.
Also consider posting more than one goal. Thereās a Patreon blog post on data-backed things you can do to help increase your chances of patron engagement.
I like your animations BTW. Nicely done.
OMG please! I would love that! And please be honest (Iām from Germany, we are frank people and used to be blunt to each other, so no feelings can get hurt here XD
) Thank you for the invitation by the way, Ellie ^^

Megan, I think your presentation video (the āonce upon a timeā) just awesome. Actually, Iāve been using it for sometime to show creators I know (not on patreon yet) what patreon is and the cool things that are happening around here. Congratulations!
Great images/design! I love how appealing you made evey tier to the eye.
