Cameras For People who don't know anything about video!

Hi Youtubers!!!

I am a newb when it comes to video. But I find myself always wishing I had a decent camera to shoot my shows (I’m a musician) so I’m looking to invest in one. My check list for important features to me are: something that works well in low light, records to 4k, and something I can set up to shoot the whole band in widescreen and not have to worry about checking on it every 30 min, which pretty much rules out a LOT of cameras.

I’ve been checking out the Sony AX100 and the AX700. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with either - I can’t seem to find a low light comparison of the two and am wondering if for my needs there’s a real justification for the 700 or if the 100 is going to do just as well. Any feed back on these or on other options you think are good/better would be most gratefully appreciated!!

Thanks,
Glenn

I’m a musician in your position, and even though it doesn’t have the world’s greatest battery, I went with the Sony A6500 anyway… The pros (for me) outweighed the cons. From what I know (videographers, please correct me!), it seems the Sony A6300 or A6500 could be a contender for you…
