We want and need your input on billing

Pretty much, they have become very complacent My patrons would not care where they made their payments, in fact I could even offer a cheaper price because I went directly through paypal automatic payments due to the amount of money patreon take off me each month for the privilege of using it. They then have the gall to send me countless reminders about some seminar on how to grow my patreon that happened the other day with 3 key speakers… But if you actually look at the 3 Key speakers not only were they very low on the ranking they also were failing and losing patrons by the bucket every month. It’s pretty disconcerting when that’s the best they can get to give advice.

Geez… seriously? That’s just sad.

Hey everyone,

Thank you so much for the valuable feedback you’ve provided here in this thread, on Discord, and through our public survey. The main themes we heard so far include:

  • Many of you are concerned about how a change to the billing cycle would disrupt your benefit delivery
  • You want to make sure patrons only get one charge per month and not multiple charges
  • You want to make sure you still get paid a reliable lump sum payment per month

Moving forward, we will be closing this thread and the survey while we continue studying the feedback and setting up conversations with many of you who’ve shared feedback with us. Our goal is to learn more about the work creators do that currently relies on 1st of the month billing. We’re also continuing our research with patrons to learn how we might find a good solution for them.

You’ll hear from us via email as soon as we have more information to share. For the time being, we welcome ongoing conversation in the #billingsolutions channel in our Discord server.
