Special Offers: Beta now OPEN!

Hi @michaelprescott, thank you so much for your post, and I’m sorry for the anticlimactic experience of finding out the special offers feature is not available for per post creators. Unfortunately, due to some complexity we had to make the difficult decision to omit this feature from accounts that have “per creation” enabled.

  1. It is very helpful to know that not enough information is provided to better explain this tool, so thank you for sharing that feedback.

  2. Our focus is to provide tools that make it easier for you to manage and grow your membership. We won’t presume to know what motivates your fans, but we do want to make it easier for you to reach them. In our interviews with creators who had seen a bump in their growth we found a recurring theme: many had offered their fans something special for a limited time. Recognizing that this is something other creators may be interested in doing, we documented some of our learnings (yes, with a lot of coffee at hand  ) and built this tool to simplify that process, manage the timeline, and the benefits. This feature is still in its early stage and we are leaning on creators and their feedback to help us improve it.

  3. You are correct. The Benefit Tracker does create to dos to remind creators of special offer benefits to fulfill for new patrons who join during the special offer period, and existing creators on a special offer tier.

We’re sorry we’re not able to offer this to per post creators like you, but should you be evaluating changing to monthly at all, this article may be of help: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000118666-Can-I-change-how-I-charge-my-patrons-

Thanks again for your feedback and questions.

Thanks for your reply, Ursula. I can’t switch to monthly, but I will look out for whatever other things work.

In case that I’d be interested to create a new temporary tier just for the special offer while it’s running ( because I want to limit the amount of patrons who can join for instance ), what do you think is the best practice in order to avoid the issue that was previously mentioned here:
