It’s really, really sad, that there is no API-connection to IFTT (if this than that).
That would save a lot of work with exactly this.

I always send a thank-you to any new subscriber from my personal email account when Patreon notifies me that I have a new subscriber. It feels more personal than a message from within Patreon. I can easily tack “Would you mind if I thanked you on FB or Twitter?” to the message. If they reply yes, then the email will be a reminder to do it. If they say no, no harm, no foul, and they’ll probably appreciate that I’ve had the courtesy to ask.
