Is it possible for others to request to get this unlocked for them? I do not yet have this option and have been releasing posts manually for a very long time now. If there is any way to get it early i would be super appreciative!
@ellie
I havenât been able to get the HTML editor to work in quite some time no matter what device Iâm using. Either the HTML option isnât available or when i go into it, itâs super glitchy and screws up the rest of my posts. Having a loader like Tumblr that can handle drag and drop of maybe, up to 5 images would be absolutely amazing instead of having to mess around with the HTML editor that acts differently depending on what device you are using. (Previews have a habit of not actually being what gets posted in my experience
)
Not so much of feature but a suggestion for a current one. (Though iâm not even sure if itâs possible.)
The Discord Connect: I would love to have the option to NOT be automatically connected to servers of artists i support but to have the option to turn on notification/invitations. Iâd get notification with an invite link if i so chose. At this point, if i was supporting multiple people with discord rewards, Iâd get added to them all without being asked if i actually want to be on that server. Some i dot. Some i donât.
Hey @Temrin! I just requested charge upfront for your account and will follow up with you soon on if we were able to add it for you.
Hey @Temrin, sorry for the hassle here! This sounds like something our Community Happiness team might be able to fix for you if you send them a note.
I already have charge upfront and as per my previous post here, i wonât use it in itâs current form. I was wanting the Scheduled Posts. Where they go public after x days. If that is possible. Thanks
Oh weird. Iâm not sure how I missed that clarification. Scheduled posts is out to 100% of creators. It sounds like what youâre referring to is âearly access,â which unfortunately is in a closed beta. Let me check in on our release plans for this though and see if I can get you any info on its availability to you.
Ah yes, sorry for the lack of clarity there! I thought i had responded to a thread asking for early access ability. (I get the terms confused sometimes and the threads here are a little awkward to read.) A friend of mine has the early access thing and my goodness it would be amazing to have. I have a mighty need ahaha. Hopefully it comes out soon.
No worries! Alright, I have an update for ya on early access. While we canât manually add creators to the beta since it would mess with some testing weâve been doing, the good news is that the beta has given us great results and will be ending soon. In other words, this feature WILL be going out to 100% of creators very very soon.
That is so wonderful to hear! I am very excited
Thank you so much for your time @ellie !
My pleasure and thank YOU so much for sharing all your wonderful feedback in the community. Keep it coming.
Not a problem! I hope that it helps.
TL;DR: A discount on fees for registered nonprofit 501c3 organizations would be phenomenal on so many different levels.
Benefits:
- Attract countless nonprofits with massive operating budgets.
- Build the âheartâ side of Patreonâs brand. (Patreon already gives so much to indie creatorsâwhy not give back to our communityâs charities by offering a discount?)
- Nonprofits are generally very stable. They would be amazing Patreon members to have. They have entire boards guiding them. Theyâre not going under fast. This robust and stable clientele for Patreon could yield tons of cash flow, and allow Patreon to have the revenue to expand features for all of us creators. Point being: all creators are blessed when Patreon gets more funding, more stable support, and ultimately more features.
Full disclosure: I ask this selfishly
because we ourselves are a nonprofitânot a big one, but we have big dreams and would love to stay with Patreon. The reason for the discount recommendation is after researching dozens of the top supporter processing systems, the % cut Patreon takes through fees is the most I have seen. However as the founder I have a bit of sway
, and we have gone with Patreon due to its supportive community and robust features.
That being said, the pricing stings our donorâs pocketbooks. I have already had board members questioning the percentages of the fees compared to donate.ly or bloomerang for example.
So to say something like this would be incredible: âIf you are a nonprofit 501c3, just input your EIN. Once we verify you (itâs pretty simple to verify a nonprofit via the EIN), then youâll be eligible for a 50% discount on Patreon fees as our way of saying âThank you for what you do.ââ
This would attract millions $ for Patreon, benefit this community, bless our communityâs charities, and ultimately deepen Patreonâs already supportive and caring brand.
Thank you so much, and keep up the phenomenal resource!
I would LOVE to see number of shares on a post and a list of folks who share as we can see with the
likes. Would be a great stat to know what content is being shared and by whom and could be utilized to expand our reach.
Yaaaaaaasssss! More data would be amaaazing.
Ahh, great feedback. One of the things I really want to do in 2018 for yâall is displaying the email open rate for each post. Iâll add this to that same line of thinking!
YAY! This would really help me see what content patrons/followers find worth sharing and if I know who is regularly promoting my art among my patrons I could send them a random thank you postcard or something along those lines, which will hopefully encourage others to share. <3 Helping to find ways creators can expand their reach means more money for creators and more money for Patreon. Everyone wins! Plus, I really need all the help I can get findinâ my people and/or they need help findinâ me.
For Godâs sake, please include a search function for posts!
I love this idea, and it would be really helpful for former Patrons who, say, meet up with you at a book signing or an artist meet and greet who pick up some fun stuff, buy your merch, that kind of thing. And it could incentivize them to come back
Yes please! I have many supporters who have tried to become Patrons but the user interface was either too confusing for them, or the site or the app too buggy, or they just werenât comfortable with the Patreon platform billing them. They are actively supporting me elsewhere. I would love to grant them honorary access/patron status even if they werenât able to make Patreon payment work.
