Thanks Linda!
I’ve thought about using it for exercise too, although I admit I would probably feel weird about having someone watch me do them
Please add me to the group, Mindy
@faeryangela As things develop on Focusmate there may be channels for meditators and other non-desk activities. Speaking of non-computer work, I had one woman do a drawing during her time and show it to me at the end. I’m excited to see more Patreon creators infusing their particular energy and dedication in this community.
@natemaingard, Make sure Mindy has the email that you signed up for Focusmate if you use a different one for Patreon.
Thanks, should be the same
Focusmate CEO and Patreon creator Taylor Jacobson just posted in the Focusmate Facebook group that an email had gone out about scholarships. The scholarships are for students, unemployed and those in countries where cost puts it out of reach. The goal is for Focusmate to be both inclusive and sustainable.
I love that, really nice to know
Sounds really interesting. I’d love an invite to the FocusMate group.
Thanks! Just emailed you an invite
@marienoelle.wurm I look forward to seeing you in a future Focusmate session. One of my favorite virtual coworkers is a Patreon creator in Slovenia. I’d love to see more artists and creatives using this platform.
Is it still possible to get an invite? My focus issues have worsened over the last two months and I could really use some more accountability/routine!
@Christa_P I didn’t hear anything about a deadline so it’s likely you can still join. I look forward to seeing you in a virtual session. If you are lucky you will also run into @lukaprincic. @mindy
This sounds like something I could benefit from. I have several projects with no deadline that I’ve been procrastinating on, but I really need to just sit and focus on them. Where’s the group? And could I get an invite as well? Thanks!!
@Elisamakesart @Christa_P @marienoelle.wurm you’ve all been emailed an invite to https://www.focusmate.com/signup/patreoncommunity
@Elisamakesart I look forward to seeing you in a virtual coworking session. I’ve been using Focusmate for five months and it’s been amazing.
Thanks! Me too. I’ve got a few big projects that really need me to sit and focus on it’s been so hard to do that. I hope this will be the accountability I need.
@Elisamakesart I look forward to meeting you IRL at the Assembly next Saturday as well.
Hi Luka, thanks so much for sharing your story! Keep us posted on how your experience evolves.

What is Focusmate?
Focusmate changes the way you work by connecting you to other professionals who have committed to being accountable for finishing their most important work.
You choose a time to work, and Focusmate pairs you with an accountability partner for a live, virtual coworking session that will keep you on task.
Research in psychology and behavioral science shows that regular human connection reduces the likelihood that a worker will procrastinate or become distracted.
The Focusmate virtual coworking model is rooted in evidence-based approaches to productivity, and systems of accountability developed by leading executive and leadership coaches.
In our most recent internal survey, 95.5% of users reported a significant increase in productivity, and reduced procrastination.
