Is our total patron count totally made up now?

Yeah it’s pretty rubbish when you reach your goal in the month, go well over it and thanks to some glitch the next month you are well under it…

Yeah. And I was ok with the usual drop of maybe up to 5% of patrons, but “losing” almost 15% of patrons at the turn of the month is not ok. I thought this new update would fix this monthly drop at the turn of the month, but this just seems to make it worse. But, I don’t know as I don’t seem to really understand how this works. And I’ve been a creator for over 5 years now

This is an issue I brought up not too long ago myself. I had a patron who didn’t pay for months and still had access to my content. It took me ages to realize they hadn’t even been paying because the numbers and stats never made much sense to me. This is when I asked why our only option was to ban them, which in turn sends them a message that they have banned.

Hi everyone,

I went and updated the topic post to share some extra context about how the new patron count formula affects the count the first few days of the month:

On and after the 3rd of the month, the “active” status extension (explained in the post) has ended, and your patron count should be a more accurate read of successful paid patrons. If that is still not the case for you now, please submit a ticket to support so they can look at your account and find discrepancies.

Please use the linked thread above moving forward - I’m going to close this thread just to keep conversations in one place and make sure everyone is getting the correct info!
