Excerpt character count bug?

Hola! I think the Public Excerpt tool in the post editor has a bug:

Would it be possible to add a character counter to that widget, so as I type I know how many characters remain, or if I paste in an excerpt it tells me how many characters I’m over limit?

Also, your forum needs a slight SEO tweak. When I googled “patreon forum” this site came up in position #6 and without a description:

I should bookmark the forum, but my habit is to do a quick search and click.

  1. Please report all bugs directly to our support team: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=70716 That way it keeps all the info in one place and we can collect all the details we need.
  2. Thank you for sharing this feedback; I totally agree! I’m hoping we can get the forum more fully integrated into Patreon.com in 2020 and make this space a lot more accessible for creators.
